Dear Families,
Thank you to those of you who came to our parent chats this week. It was wonderful to touch base and hear your perspectives. I look forward to seeing everyone at our PTO picnic in a few weeks.
I want to reassure everyone that when there is an air-alarm in the morning, our priority is our community’s safety. Please do not worry about your child’s attendance. We understand that children will be late.
To ensure that our campus is a safe and secure place for our community, we are changing some of our policies regarding access to the campus. We will share more information about this next week by Informer. Please note that our shelter is always open for students, families and staff when there is an air-alarm.
Our sports and activities for Middle School and Secondary School and our Learn Through Play activities start next week! If your child is not signed up, please be sure to fill in that form!

We are excited to invite you to our annual Back to School Picnic! Let’s kick off the new school year with a fun and festive gathering.

What to Expect:
- Potluck: Bring a dish to share with the community! Whether it’s a favorite family recipe or a takeout, your contribution will make our picnic delicious and diverse.
- Activities: Enjoy games, music, and other activities for all ages.
- Volunteers & Activities: Parents, teachers, students, if you’re interested in running an activity or volunteering, we’d love your help! Please fill out the RSVP form to let us know how you’d like to contribute.

Our upcoming Back to School Picnic will feature a special opportunity for parents to showcase their businesses and connect with the school community!
If you own or represent a business and would like to set up a booth at the picnic, we'd love to have you as a vendor. This is a fantastic chance to introduce your products or services to fellow parents, students, and staff in a friendly, community-focused environment.

The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), a non-profit group, brings together parents, teachers, and administrators to enhance the school experience for our students. PTO Lobby Shop raises funds to support school events, gifts, and surprises for students, teachers, and staff. Any KIS parent is welcome to join.
What is KIS Moms & Dads?
KIS Moms & Dads is a private Facebook group for KIS parents and the PTO. It's a place to discover ways to get involved in school activities, PTO events, and volunteer opportunities, as well as to share ideas, feedback, and suggestions with the school and PTO. To join, please complete the membership questions.
