| Director's Message

Dear Kozak Community,

A massive thank you to the PTO volunteers for organizing the wonderful Welcome Back Picnic last week and to all the teachers and students who helped to supervise and run activities. Thank you to all the families who came and brought mountains of delicious food. It was a spectacular event which reflects our diverse, committed and invested community.

Travel Day: We are designating October 13th as a travel day for staff and families who are leaving the country. There will not be classes, however this day offers an excellent opportunity for students to get caught up with work, so they don’t have homework during vacation!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Our Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 12th. School will be dismissed at 12:45. Elementary meetings may be in person or by Zoom, at parents' convenience. 

There will not be supervision on campus in the afternoon.  Sign-ups will open on October 2nd on MOODLE.

Due to the space restrictions in the basement (in case of an air-raid alert) we ask that Middle School and Secondary Parents attend virtually on Zoom/Teams. If you would like to meet a teacher in person, please reach out to that teacher and arrange a time at a mutually convenient time. Sign-ups will open on October 2nd on MOODLE.

*Appointments with Middle School Science teacher, Mr. Kaufman will be at his request. If you do not receive a notification, you should not make an appointment with Mr. Kaufmann. If you would like to speak with him, please email, he is very happy to meet at an alternative time: jacques-kaufmann@kyiv.qsi.org

MAP Testing

MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) testing is complete. Make-up tests will be the week of October 1st.

Learn More about the MAP test. This test allows us to measure a student's progress over the course of the school year and to identify student strengths and weaknesses in different academic areas. There are excellent resources available for families. Family Toolkit - NWEA

Emergency Drill

FYI we will hold a practice emergency drill during the school day on October 4th.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Chelsey Zoromski and I am your school counselor this year.  I am available to meet with students, staff, and parents about any social emotional topics or university questions that may come up this year.  I am currently living in Moldova but am available to meet with you on Teams on Thursdays and Fridays.
