Kozak Korner #08. October 04th, 2024

| Director's Message

Dear Families!

October already! A huge thank you to our teachers on Teachers’ Day. We are grateful for our PTO who gifted us with beautiful Kozak merch. It is wonderful to be part of such a supportive community.

Parent Teacher Conferences are next Friday, October 11th. Attending the parent-teacher conference is a great opportunity for parents. Here are some key reasons why you should consider going:

1. Stay Informed: You’ll get valuable insights into your child’s academic progress, strengths, and areas that may need improvement.

2. Build Relationships: It’s a chance to connect with your child’s teacher. Building a strong relationship can help create a supportive environment for your child.

3. Share Information: You know your child best! Sharing insights about their interests, challenges, or any changes at home can help teachers support them more effectively.

4. Ask Questions: If you have concerns or want to know more about specific subjects or teaching methods, this is the perfect time to ask.

5. Understand Expectations: You’ll learn about what’s coming up in the curriculum, helping you to support your child’s learning at home.

6. Show Support: Your presence demonstrates to your child that their education is important to you, which can motivate and encourage them.

Preschool and 5-8 will sign up with teachers on SeeSaw. 9+ signups will be on the Family Moodle. Please reserve your time!

You can always contact us by calling +38 044 452 2792.

Best regards,
Rachel Geary

On your Family Profile on Moodle, you will find consent forms for three categories:

  1. Student’s General - Privacy Notice & Consent Form
  2. Student’s Digital Learning - Privacy Notice & Consent Form

Please review the forms and indicate your consent or refusal for each one. It is important that both parents sign the forms. Your timely response is essential to ensure your child can continue participating in all school activities and programs.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Technology Strategic Planning Framework | An Introduction

An Introduction

Kyiv International School is excited to announce that this year we will be working closely with the QSI HQ Technology Department to implement a new Technology Strategic Planning Framework which is designed to assist schools in developing a comprehensive roadmap to guide the effective development, support, integration, and utilization of technology in the pursuit of academic excellence.

Over the coming months, a team of dedicated administrators, teachers, and IT professionals will be developing a Vision for Technology Usage and Integration, building our Goals for Technology Usage and Integration, and using those goals to create a detailed Strategic Action Plan, planning for the materials, training, and support needed to realize that vision.

As part of this initiative, Kyiv International School is asking for your participation in helping us to understand the perspective, needs, and concerns of the parent community as relates to the usage and integration of technology in your child’s education.

We're asking you to follow the LINK and fill in the short survey which will ask you to respond to a few questions related to technology administration, instructional technology, and the technology infrastructure at the school. Your responses are completely anonymous and will be essential in helping us shape the future of technology usage and integration in our school.

All Kyiv International School staff and students aged 10 years and older will be asked to complete a similar survey to ensure that all perspectives are considered as we plan for a strong future of growth and development.

Thank you in advance for contributing your voice and support to this effort.

Rachel Geary
Director, Kyiv International School
