Kozak Korner #13. November 17th, 2023
| Director's Message
Dear Families,
Thank you to all of the students, parents and staff who joined us for a fun movie night!
Our protocols and plans for the air raid sirens are working well. Students know where to go and classes continue smoothly. We have had lunch in the shelter twice – once mid-lunch time. Sunny Side Food Services has done an amazing job making sure the students get a hot, healthy lunch despite the circumstances. We are clearing a bit more room in the shelter, so the secondary and middle school students have more space. The sirens are frustrating and exhausting, but our students continue to learn, lunch, play, draw and even dance in the shelter! Dismissal from the shelter has been smooth. Please reach out if you have ideas or suggestions that might help us!
Next week is Staff Professional Development. We look forward to this time to collaborate, cooperate and get
inspired by our colleagues’ creativity and knowledge! There will be no school for students on November 23rd and 24th. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to catch up and catch their breath!
We will celebrate the winter holidays on December 14th in the afternoon with a Winter Wonderland co-sponsored by the PTO. On the 15th the school will hold a cozy holiday morning of breakfast and activities and students will be dismissed at 11:45.
Looking forward to the Coffee Chats later in the month.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions.
Best regards,
Rachel Geary
