| Director's Message
Dear Families,
Winter has truly arrived – with snow covered trees, chilly weather, early nightfall and messy roads. It is a beautiful, treacherous time of year. Please be mindful on the roads, and don’t worry about children being late for school. We know that traffic can be slow these days.
Thank you to those who attended the Elementary Coffee Chat – it is always a pleasure to touch base with our community members. Some parents expressed interest in having activities after school on campus. We would like to see how many people are interested; elementary parents please complete this form: https://forms.office.com/e/ethFSLVBRu
The winter holiday is quickly approaching. We have many school events to celebrate in the coming weeks. Please enjoy these joyful times with our school community.
Next week we will enjoy the preschool and elementary concerts and the PTO Wine and Cheese on Saturday. Hoping to have a chance to see many of you at these events.
Technology
Our students spend a lot of time on their devices, especially our upper elementary, middle school and secondary students. Please remind your child that they must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy.
Some key points from this are:
- Respect the rights of others. This includes demonstrating appropriate online behavior towards other students and not wasting resources like Internet bandwidth through unauthorized gaming, downloading, video, or audio streaming, or any other unauthorized activities.
- Report Inappropriate Content. This includes telling a trusted adult immediately if you see inappropriate material or unauthorized activities.
Some basics rules include NOT
- Sending, sharing, or displaying offensive messages or images
- Taking and sharing photos or videos at school without the permission of the school or those being recorded.
- Deliberately accessing or creating any obscene or objectionable information, text, or image.
- Plagiarizing others’ work or violating copyright laws. This includes peer-to-peer file sharing of copyrighted files. If the student is unsure whether they can use someone’s work, they should not use it without permission from the owner.
Best regards,
Rachel Geary
