| Director's Message

Dear Families,

I would like to say a warm welcome to our many new families.  We hope you and your children will quickly feel at home in our warm and vibrant community.    To our returning families, welcome back.  I hope you had a restful and joyful holiday season with friends and family.  

We are excited to get back to work!  

MAP Testing (Measure of Academic Progress) 

New students and students enrolled in Intensive English will take the MAP test next week.  To learn more about this test please see:  Family Toolkit - NWEA 

Learn Through Play (LTP)  

Our new sessions started on Tuesday. Students enjoy a wide range of sports, arts, crafts and dance.  For questions about LTP please contact dana-horbunova@kyiv.qsi.org 

After School Sports and Activities

January 26th  

This day is designated on the calendar for Parent Teacher Conferences. Last year we changed these conferences to Conferences for Student Advocacy and we would like to continue this tradition.  January 26th will be a school day for students. In the morning, they will have their regular classes. In the afternoon, they will work in small groups, with teacher-mentors, to identify the things they love about their classes and what they don’t enjoy. This information will be collected and then shared through discussions with the teachers. We want to empower the students to take charge of their own learning experience. This will be for ages 6+. Please look for more information about this in next week’s KK.

Dear Kyiv International School, 

We are delighted to invite secondary students and parents to the January 2024 Quality Schools International Global University Virtual Fair. We are excited to offer an opportunity to meet with university representatives from around the world.  Right now, 35 universities from 14 countries are registered to present.

All Secondary 1-3 students will have the opportunity to attend the fair during the school day. 

If students would like to attend any admissions workshops on Friday, they need to see Ms. Zoromski.

My name is Chelsey Zoromski and I am your school counselor this year.  I am available to meet with students, staff, and parents about any social emotional topics or university questions that may come up this year.  I am currently living in Moldova but am available to meet with you on Teams on Thursdays and Fridays.
