| Director's Message
Dear Families!
It will be a great pleasure to see many of you at our KIS Bingo Night. Our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a wonderful group of committed parents and KIS staff who do so much to make our community stronger! I want to say an enormous thank you to them for all that they do for us at Kyiv International School.
A reminder about Scholarship Renewal and Application! If your family receives a scholarship, you must renew this for the 2024-25 school year. You have been sent an email with the relevant links! Please note that the deadline for this is April 1st.
I appreciate our students’ commitment to our English Policy – they have been enormously successful!
Best regards,
Rachel Geary

| Special Announcement
We have some exciting news!
Next year our school counselor, Ms. Zoromski, will be located in Kyiv!
Ms. Zoromski has worked for KIS for the last 5 years and has served as our virtual school counselor for the last two years. For the 2024-2025 school year she will still work for multiple QSI schools and will visit her other schools, but she will spend most of her time in Kyiv. As a school counselor she will help with social emotional support and university planning. We are so excited to welcome her back to campus as our school numbers continue to grow so that we can provide our students with even more support.
Welcome back Ms. Zoromski!

| School Year 2024 - 2025
Dear Families,
We are making plans for the 2024-25 school year; we expect our school to continue to grow both in size and diversity. We will honor our commitment to offer significantly reduced fees from our pre-war tuition to help provide education to as many families as possible. However, our 2024-25 fees have increased slightly. If the fee increase is a challenge to your family’s finances, please apply for a scholarship. We are committed to helping our community. Please see the new school fees and school calendar for the 2024-25 school year. The re-enrolment process will begin in March; it is a very easy process through Open Apply – you will receive an email.
If you have questions or concerns, please do reach out: rachel-geary@kyiv.qsi.org

The Empower curriculum integrates the Success Orientations, Social Emotional Learning concepts, and Child Protection principles into individual lessons throughout the year. These lessons will be delivered during a dedicated weekly EMPOWER class time. This approach aims to equip students with a comprehensive set of skills applicable throughout their lives. Specific lessons tailored to each grade level ensure developmental appropriateness. While some concepts may be revisited annually, the lessons will vary based on the students' age. For more information, please see the QSI Empower statement.
Teachers will keep parents informed about the upcoming lessons for their child, and for certain grades, the lesson plans will be accessible in this newsletter. Click on the post below to view the message from the teacher.
