Director's Message

Dear KIS,

This next week is the Spring Break and there will be no school. I hope everyone is able to enjoy some time with friends and family.

We continue to ask families to complete the re-enrollment process, so we can make plans for next school year. Thank you for your help with this.

Wishing you all a good Spring Break!

Sincerely,

Luke Woodruff
Director
Kyiv International School

Success For All Without Boundaries

Sofiia, a middle school student, has been demonstrating Concern for Others and Independent Endeavor outside of KIS recently.

Sofiia has been teaching English language classes to displaced 4 to 8-year-old children in Uzhgorod, Ukraine.  From the photo it looks like she is a natural teacher!  We are all so proud to call you a Kozak, Sofiia!

Desperately Seeking a Mate?

Teacher: Kelly Remick

Students in my 13-year-old life science class were asked to create an advertisement in order to find their perfect mate.  Each student was given a pair of organisms with a very unique symbiotic relationship.  Students researched the special relationship, then selected one of the organisms to represent themselves.  Some organisms were seeking a mutualistic relationship, while otherssearched for a parasitic or commensalistic partner.  Here are a few great examples.
