PRESCHOOL

Coordinator's Message

Dear Preschool Parents and Students,

This week at our preschool we talked and learned about Transportation.

Preschool is an exciting time for children to learn about the world around them. Young learners are often fascinated by the different modes of transportation such as cars, buses, trains, planes, and boats. They love to observe how these vehicles move and how they are used to travel to different places.

Our students were engaged in transportation-themed activities such as building a toy train, creating a car track, and drawing or coloring pictures of different types of vehicles. Such activities help children develop fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity while simultaneously learning about transportation. By using a variety of teaching methods, our preschool teachers helped children understand and appreciate the different modes of transportation while developing their cognitive, language, and social skills.

I would like to inform you that on Friday, June 9th at 9:30 am we are having our Preschool Summer Concert. We look forward to seeing you at our concert.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Best regards,

Ms. Nataliya Yegorova

  LEARNING STORIES & WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

Library Stories

The Library is Fun!

Teacher: Alla Yarmolenko

What sparkles curiosity in children when it comes to reading? Well, often it is remembering the last cool book they read.

When the students received an opportunity to come back to the library, it is their favorite series they wanted to read.

The Magic Treehouse, Geronimo Stilton, Biscuit, Diary of a Wimpy Kid...

However, we do not stop there. Along with reading for fun, we explored many nonfiction books about countries, their culture, historical facts, figures, etc. Do you know where Chihuahua dogs come from? Or high-heeled shoes were invented? And who wore them first? Where pretzels were made first? Or where do Velcro or contact lenses come from? The more we were learning the more students wanted to know! We also learned about new authors and new series, too.

By the way, we recognized two of our most active readers this year! Keep up reading!

Farewell to Mr. Woodruff

Farewell, Mr. Woodruff!

It's with mixed emotions that we bid adieu to our school director, Mr. Luke Woodruff, who has been an integral part of the KIS family for many years.

This past week, our KIS on-campus Kozaks came together to express their heartfelt love and deep gratitude for Mr. Woodruff's exceptional leadership. Under his guidance KIS has flourished.

As Mr. Woodruff embarks on his new journey as a QSI Regional Supervisor, we want to express our sincere appreciation for his unwavering dedication and commitment to providing quality education.

Wishing you all the best on your new adventure, Mr. Woodruff!
