Coordinator's Message
Dear Students and Families,
As we come to the end of another school year. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to our preschool community. It hasn’t been an easy year, but we have all managed to navigate through the challenges that the war brought upon us.
To our students, I am so proud of your resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn have inspired us all. Despite the disruptions and changes, you have continued to show up with a smile on your face, ready to tackle the day. You have grown and developed so much throughout the year, and it has been a privilege to watch you learn and flourish.
To our families, thank you for entrusting us with the care and education of your children. Your support and cooperation have been invaluable, and we could not have done it without you. Thank you for sticking with us through the ups and downs, for your understanding and flexibility, and for being such an important part of our Preschool Community.
To all our students and families, thank you for making this school year such a memorable one. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful children and families, and we look forward to seeing what the future hold. Have a safe and restful Summer, and we will see you soon!
Warm regards,

Summer Reading Challenge
Dear KIS students and their parents,
The end of the school year and summer vacation is just around the corner. This means it is time to return all your books and get library books to read over the summer. It is the perfect time to pick up a good book - strictly for enjoyment or to practice newly acquired reading skills.
Studies show that reading over summer vacations keeps kids' brains active and reduces setbacks in reading levels, known as The 'Summer Slide'. Source
KIS library is offering returning students the opportunity to borrow library books over the summer holiday starting June 15th. The students can check out up to 10 books for the summer and should return them during the first week of school. Any lost or damaged books must be paid at their replacement cost.
Library working hours during Summer break:
-
Tuesday 12:00- 16:00
-
Saturday 12:00 - 17:00
Have a look at our Summer Reading Challenge:
🔗 Reading Tracker (For Printing)
The purpose of this activity is to encourage recreational reading over the summer. Students can keep a reading log (see above) in which they will write down the titles of the books they’ve read. Students that read 10 or more books during summer will be invited to an ice cream party with prizes in September! This is open to all students.
Young students can do this activity with their parents.
Those who are not in Kyiv this Summer may find some books online. The goal is Not to Stop Reading!
