College Preparedness
The Advanced Placement® Program (AP) enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school.
The AP Program develops college-level courses that high schools can choose to offer and corresponding AP Exams that are administered once a year.
Taking AP courses and exams in high school could give students an advantage in college by letting them:

Learning as an AP Student
Applying
Although there is no formal application, students must have completed all units from Secondary I and II. Students must also adhere to the KIS attendance policy (at least 90% attendance and less than 3 tardies per quintile)
Although not required, the following characteristics, generally tend to thrive in the AP Program:
- Motivated and hardworking students.
- Students who like the support and collaboration of peer groups.
- Students who are active in the community via athletics, community service, and extracurricular activities.
